Primary season

Two big math stories both relating to prime numbers:

First, a proof (not yet peer reviewed, but looking solid) of the Weak Goldbach Conjecture (Every odd number greater than 5 can be written as the sum of three prime numbers).

And second, progress toward proving the Twin Primes Conjecture (There is an infinite number of pairs of primes whose difference is 2): proof that there is anĀ infinite number of prime pairs whose separation is less than a finite upper limit, specifically 70 million.
